Maintenance platoon keeps II MEF’s equipment where it’s needed

Sept. 27, 2007: Sgt. Anthony L. Smith, the assistant wire chief for the platoon’s wire section, is one of several reservists. Before he was activated and deployed to Iraq, Smith worked as an electronic technician for Corporate Systems Engineering in Indianapolis. He said the versatility of the section’s Marines has helped them keep up with a high operational tempo during this deployment, for which all the reservists volunteered.
